Piquet Jr. wins Nationwide pole at Road America
ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (AP) — Nelson Piquet Jr. has won pole position for Saturday afternoon's NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Road America.
Piquet, a former Formula One driver and the son of three-time F1 champion Nelson Sr., turned a lap of 109.516 mph on the four-mile, 14-turn road course in central Wisconsin.

Michael McDowell qualified second, followed by Ron Fellows, Jacques Villeneuve and Max Papis.
Danica Patrick qualified 10th for the race.
