Everyone will get a pirate hat. There will be water games, refreshments, sand castles, limbo and chalk painting.

After the parade, children age 12 and younger can take part in the Make a Splash @ Your Library program by choosing summer reading goals for this year. Young children can meet reading goals by being read to by parents, grandparents or older children.

Reading programs also are scheduled this summer for teens and adults, who also will have a chance to win prizes.
