Pixies debut new video, "Indie Cindy," directed by Oklahoma's LAMAR+NIK

This is the second LAMAR+NIK-directed clip from the Pixies in just a few months, following up the superb “Bagboy.” It is the second single featuring new bassist Kim Shattuck, and is part of a four-song EP the band released today through its Web site.

There is obviously a lot to infer here — the sudden and dramatic uptick in Pixies recording activity following the departure of Kim Deal earlier this year would seem to indicate that any obstacles standing between this band and the creation of new material over the past nine years are not in place anymore. Also, “Indie Cindy” truly sounds like the Pixies of old. Well done, Pixies, and congratulations to LAMAR+NIK.

WARNING: This song contains profanity, so those with sensitivities toward blunt vocabulary should abstain.
