Casey’s Cajun Fried Catfish and Seafood


The name says it all ... actually it doesn’t because there is so much more, but the catfish is a must. Reggie Casey was an executive chef for Hilton Restaurants and a food broker who traveled the country before he decided to open his own restaurant to serve the food he loved best – Cajun. Fish comes in fresh daily and is fried up with the recipe that was created by Reggie and has remained a tight family secret for more than 40 years. Catfish dinners include a half-pound of fish, hush puppies and two sides. Alex, Reggie’s son, suggests okra, greens or his step-mother, Jeannie’s, famous potato salad. Casey’s caters and even delivers.

Catfish Roundup


Just a short drive east on I-35 will land you at one of the best catfish restaurants in the state. The Kinslow family opened Catfish Roundup 23 years ago and still serves all-you-can-eat catfish dinners seven days a week. The catfish is coated in a homemade Cajun-style breading and then fried to crispy perfection.
