WEATHERFORD — Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials report there were no injuries when a small airplane made a forced landing on a baseball field in western Oklahoma.
Capt. George Brown said troopers were on the scene following the incident shortly after noon Wednesday.
Television images from KWTV show a small plane sitting upright in the outfield of the baseball field at Rader Park on the city's east side.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Lynn Lunsford said one person was on the aircraft and the flight plan indicated the plane was flying from Cheyenne, Wyo., to Weatherford.
Lunsford said the pilot reported that the engine quit.
