Pilot Richard Rohlf, 70, of Truckee, Calif., wasn't hurt, an Oklahoma Highway Patrol spokeswoman said. No one else was aboard the fixed wing single-engine sport plane.

Trooper Betsy Randolph said the plane landed after it had engine trouble.

The plane landed in a field southeast of Charter Oak Road and MacArthur Boulevard, about 6 1/3 miles northwest of Oak Tree Golf Club in Edmond, Randolph said.

The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate today's landing, FAA spokesman Roland Herwig said.

On Thursday, two men escaped injury when engine problems forced them to land their airplane in a wheat field about five miles southeast of Okarche.
