Members of the urban board were concerned about the parking situation.

Board member Charlie Johnson, UCO vice president of university relations, said university students may be parking in the spaces designated for tenants and businesses in the new building.

“I love the concept,” Johnson said. “I wanted to bring it up because I know this will be facing you every day.”

Bryanne Wallace, board member and downtown merchant, said parking is the key to retail businesses being successful.

Morgan said they will re-examine the parking situation.

“This is exactly what we are looking for on Campbell,” said David Forrest, urban board chairman.
