Platty's facial tumor to undergo treatment; spleen tumor was benign

A cancer-fighting Tulsa canine who has earned a worldwide following is about to take the next step in his treatment, his family says.

“We want to do what is least painful and upsetting for him,” said Karel Bagwell, adopted grandmother to Platty, a 10-year-old male golden retriever with a massive facial tumor.

A decision between chemotherapy or radiation will hopefully be made in the next few days, she added.
