The expansion of the Seaway Crude Oil Pipeline is nearly complete. The pipeline, owned by Enterprise Products Partners and Enbridge Inc., soon will be able to transport about 400,000 barrels of oil a day from Cushing to the Gulf Coast. Service on the 500-mile, 30-inch pipeline has been suspended temporarily to complete the expansion, which is adding about 150,000 barrels of daily capacity to the line. Service is expected to resume by the end of next week.
