PLUGGING IN: Global Power marks profit

Global Power marks profit
TULSA — Global Power Equipment Group Inc. reported profits of $17 million on revenues of $129.9 million for the three-month period ended Sept. 30. The Tulsa company, which designs and makes power generating systems, had forecast quarterly revenue of $93.7 million as part of its financial projections filed in connection with its emergence in January from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Trucking firm services grow
McALESTER — Phoenix Transportation announced Thursday the start of its business to service the oil and natural gas industry in the Woodford Shale. Phoenix provides vacuum truck services necessary for construction, drilling, completion and production of natural gas wells, company officials said. Growth plans include additional trucking services through providing fracture tanks, winch trucks, gin pole trucks, and pipe yard storage. The company said it also plans to expand operations to the

Haynesville Shale natural gas field in northwest Louisiana and east Texas.

Company seeks bids on well
Oklahoma City-based Smart Brothers is seeking bids from interested oil and natural gas owners to participate in a well being drilled in Pittsburg County.
