A man accused of attacking his ex-girlfriend's neighbor with a machete was arrested Thursday afternoon.

Michael Bradley Rogers, 31, was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on a complaint of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, jail records show. Bail had not been set Thursday.

No charges have been filed in connection with the incident.

Coronado Heights Elementary School, 5900 N Sapulpa Ave., was on lockdown Thursday morning while Oklahoma City police searched the area around the school for the suspect, Principal Bart Daniel said.

Daniel said a police officer told him the suspect's cellphone pinged two blocks south of the school.

Putnam City Schools spokesman Steve Lindley said no one was allowed to enter or leave the school during the lockdown, which ended about 12:30 p.m.

Rogers is accused of cutting Randal Love, 45, about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday outside his home at 3800 NW 51.

Love came outside after hearing a crash and saw a man wearing a painter's respirator mask puncturing the tires and smashing glass of his neighbor's pickup, according to the incident report.

Love confronted the man as he was pulling his vehicle out of the neighbor's driveway. He was struck on the arm with a machete during the incident, according to the police report.

Love received a number of stitches and later was released from Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City.

Love said the man who attacked him is the ex-boyfriend of a neighbor who lives across the street.
