An Oklahoma City man accused of robbing a jewelry store at gunpoint was arrested Friday, police said.
Oklahoma City police arrested Richard Todd Mitchell, 50, Friday morning on complaints of conspiracy to commit a felony, robbery with a firearm and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Police are searching for a second suspect in the robbery, they said.
Two men robbed Higgins Jewelers, 12120 Warwick Drive, at gunpoint about 11:40 a.m. Thursday, officers said.
The robbers fled in a vehicle that police later found abandoned at a nearby apartment complex.
Surveillance photos show the two men, including the face of one who lowered his mask during the robbery. The robbers were black men, last seen wearing hooded sweatshirts, gloves and bandannas over their faces.
Mitchell was being held at Oklahoma County on Friday jail in lieu of $84,000 bail.
