9 p.m. update: A bomb squad has determined that no explosives were in the three vehicles authorities searched in southwest Oklahoma City, police Capt. Dexter Nelson said.
A man was detained Thursday evening while officers closed off sections of SW 28 to SW 30 and S Miller Avenue to S Linn Avenue.
The man’s name and the complaints he was arrested on were not released Thursday night.
6 p.m.: Oklahoma City police officers are investigating a vehicle with at least one suspicious device inside, the police reported.
The bomb squad has been requested to investigate the device. Officers have shut down access to streets from SW 28 to SW 30 and S Miller Avenue to S Linn Avenue.
When an officer pulled over the vehicle, the officer found weapons in the vehicle. The driver made a comment about some of the contents inside his vehicle causing the police to request the bomb squad, police Capt. Dexter Nelson said.
