NORTHAMPTON, England (AP) — Police say a Chinese man has been questioned by investigators at an English third-tier football match in relation to an alleged case of fraud by an overseas betting syndicate.

The man was held by members of the English Football Association's fraud unit during a match between Coventry and Crawley on Sunday.

Sussex police say the man was not arrested or linked to a club and that officers were present to "support the FA fraud team in dealing with the man and obtaining his information."

There are two ongoing police investigations centering on separate allegations, made in British newspaper sting operations, of fixing in the divisions below the Premier League.
