OKLAHOMA CITY — An Edmond police officer found the car belonging to an Oklahoma City woman who has been missing since Wedneday, authorities said Thursday evening.

There was a body in the car, but police would not give any details. The car also was partially burned.

The body was taken to the medical examiner's office for identification.

The car was found about 5:15 p.m. on the south side of Danforth Road, about a half mile east of Post Road in eastern Edmond.

Sheila L. Macy, 36, was supposed to be at work at 9 a.m. Wednesday, but she never showed up. Macy, a physical therapist, had an appointment at a clinic in the 9600 block of N Broadway.

She was seen last by her husband when she left their home in the 2800 block of Old Hickory Drive, police said.
