— Authorities Friday identified a man found shot to death in a Lawton apartment.

About 6 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a “shots fired” call at the Tanglewood Apartments, 2310 NW Terrace Hills Blvd.

Police found Michael Denzel Elix on the floor of a unit at the complex, according to a statement from Lawton police. The man is also known as Michael Denzel Carter, the release states.

Elix lived at the apartment where he was found, police said. Investigators said in the statement he was shot there and that he was the only person present besides the suspect. Police did not provide suspect information but said they are looking for a small, black compact two-door vehicle.

No arrests have been made as of Friday evening.
