A man in Norman was struck and killed by a train Monday, police report. The investigation into the death of Bobby Bruce Kinsey, 36, continues.

— Police continue to investigate the death of a man hit by a train Monday. The body of Bobby Bruce Kinsey, 36, was found in a rural area in the 4100 block of Classen Boulevard next to the railroad tracks about a quarter of a mile from where he was hit by the southbound train. A dispatcher for BNSF Railway called police about 10 p.m. Monday to report a southbound train had hit a pedestrian. The freight train was in the area of Cedar Lane Road in south Norman when the man was struck.

Construction to close May Avenue

Drainage infrastructure construction will prompt the closure of N May Avenue at NW 172 from Saturday through Monday, according to an Oklahoma City news release. The work is part of a $2 million street-widening project. Signs will direct drivers around the closure.
