Police have identified an Oklahoma City man who was shot multiple times Sunday night at Memorial Park.

Godwin Ikuesanu, 23, was taken to a hospital with four gunshot wounds on his lower back and one on his right elbow.

According to the police report, officers were called about 9 p.m. to a Homeland store at 1108 NW 18. When they arrived, they found a man lying on the ground with medical personnel around him.

A witness said he was driving in the area when the man ran out in the street and asked for a ride to the hospital. The witness told police he didn't think the man would make it to the hospital, so he drove him to the store so a security guard could call for help.

Police said the shooting was possibly gang-related. In May 2010, officers said Ikuesanu was arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting.
