A longtime felon being sought on complaints of murder and rape after one woman was found dead and another hospitalized was arrested late Friday, police said.

Albert Johnson, 47, was arrested in Bethany, The Village Deputy Police Chief Steve Jagosh said. Johnson was expected to be booked Saturday into Oklahoma County jail, Jagosh said.

The Village police responded to a reported assault at 2952 Lakeside Drive about 7:15 a.m. Friday and found two women badly injured inside the home.

Rachel Rogers, 24, and a woman police did not identify were taken to a hospital where Rogers later died. The second woman remained at the hospital Friday night, police said.

Police did not say how the woman died or what weapon their attacker might have used.

Johnson, 47, police said, is the boyfriend of the woman in the hospital.

Johnson has spent more than 20 years in prison for convictions of rape, kidnapping and robbery, according to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. His latest term for kidnapping and robbery ended in Feb. 2013.
