Police investigate Clinton homicide, burglary

A woman found shot in a Clinton home early Thursday was pronounced dead, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation reports. A man also was shot, but his injuries are not life-threatening, the OSBI said.

— A woman and a man were found shot in a home early Thursday, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation reported.

Police and paramedics found the victims about 2:20 a.m. in a house in the 1800 block of Hunt Street.

Jessica Jane Kauley, 35, was pronounced dead at Clinton Integris Hospital, and Shawn Patrick Spottedwolf, 26, suffered injuries that are not life-threatening, the OSBI reported.

Shortly before 3 a.m., Clinton police responded to a burglary call at a home about a half-mile from the homicide scene, OSBI reported.

Samuel Keeto, 22, of Clinton, was booked into the Clinton jail on a burglary complaint.

OSBI agents and Clinton police are investigating the homicide and its possible connection to the burglary, OSBI reported.
