GUTHRIE — Police are investigating the death of a trooper, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

Trooper Brad Babb, 35, was found dead by a family member about 6 p.m. Monday in his home in the 300 block of N 17.

Babb's body has been turned over to the state medical examiner's office.

“The cause of death at this time is unknown,” police Lt. Mark Bruning said. “We are not investigating this as a homicide.”

Trooper Betsy Randolph said Babb joined the highway patrol in 2000.
