Police investigate man's death in Oklahoma City fire as a homicide

An unidentified man died in a fire Sunday at 506 SE 34 shortly before 5:30 a.m. The state Medical Examiner determined the Oklahoma City death to be a homicide.

Oklahoma City police are investigating a man’s death in a fire Sunday as a homicide.

At 5:25 a.m. Sunday, firefighters went to 506 SE 34, where a man’s body was found, Oklahoma City Fire Department Deputy Chief Marc Woodard said.

Monday, the state medical examiner indicated the death is a homicide, according to a police news release. Amy Elliott, state medical examiner’s spokeswoman, said there is no probable cause of death known yet, and the identity of the victim has not yet been determined.

Police ask anyone with information about the man’s death to call 297-1200.
