Update: Suspect killed after officer-related shooting in Norman

The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an officer-related shooting in Norman that led to the death of a suspect.

NORMAN: The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an officer-related shooting Saturday morning that led to the death of a suspect.

The shooting occurred near W Boyd Street and 24th Avenue SW in Norman, police said. The shooting happened after two officers made a traffic stop. One of the two suspects got inside an officer’s patrol car and attempted to drive away.

An officer fired his weapon at the suspect, who was taken to the hospital, where he died, police said. The other suspect is in custody.
