NORMAN — Police are investigating an apparent suicide on the University of Oklahoma campus Wednesday afternoon.
OU spokeswoman Catherine Bishop said the body had not been identified by authorities.
University police had taped off an area near the Mosier Practice Facility by 3 p.m. and appeared to be searching a car that was parked in the area.
Student-athletes walking near the scene were instructed not to speak with the media by individuals who appeared to be coaches or university staff members.
Police also erected makeshift walls around the area, shielding it from view on a brutally windy day in central Oklahoma.
The body was found near the massive training center along Lindsey Street, where the university’s football program had held its pro day earlier in the day.
