Police investigate suspicious package near Cox Convention Center

A suspicious package was found Tuesday night near the corner of Sheridan Avenue and E.K. Gaylord Boulevard. The Oklahoma City bomb squad is investigating while officers are diverting traffic and pedestrian traffic.

A suspicious package was found near the Cox Convention Center Tuesday night, Oklahoma City police reported.

An unattended bag was reported around 10:15 p.m. near the corner of Sheridan Avenue and E.K. Gaylord Boulevard, a police spokesman said.

The bomb squad is investigating the package while officers are blocking off the area to motorists and pedestrians, a police spokesman said.
