A bystander saw the woman drive into the ditch in the 600 block of S Western Avenue about 6:35 p.m., then climb out of her vehicle and walk west through a construction site, Oklahoma City fire Maj. Rick Yarbrough said.

Firefighters searched the upturned vehicle, which landed in about 6 inches of water, and found it to be empty, he said.

Police searched the area, assisted by a civilian helicopter, but the woman was not found in the immediate area.
