A man arrested on a murder complaint after a double homicide in northeast Oklahoma City was also arrested last month when police found drugs and a stolen gun in his car, according to police and court records.
Charles Mallory, 26, was arrested Thursday at his home, 1204 E Madison Ave., in connection with the deaths of two men found about 10:15 p.m. Sunday night shot to death in a car near NE 24 and Lottie Avenue, Oklahoma City police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said.
Francisco Javier Ramirez, 19, and Freddy Valle, 22, both of Oklahoma City, suffered multiple gunshot wounds, the state medical examiner reported.
According to a police report, an officer stopped Mallory's car last month for speeding and detained him because his driver's license was suspended. He was arrested after the officer searching the car found a stolen pistol and a baggie that contained what was identified as two ecstasy pills.
Mallory was charged Wednesday with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of stolen property and possession of an offensive weapon while committing a felony.
Police went to Mallory's home Thursday to serve a warrant on those charges.
Mallory was arrested on two murder complaints after police questioned him Thursday evening.
He also was arrested on complaints of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm while committing a felony and maintaining a place where a controlled dangerous substance is kept or sold.
