Police make fourth arrest in Oklahoma City shooting

Larry Clayborn, 29, has been arrested in connection with the shooting of Donte Deshawn McCarther, 21, of Oklahoma City, who was found dead near a breezeway at an apartment complex Jan. 17.

The investigation into the Jan. 17 slaying of a 21-year-old Oklahoma City man yielded a fourth arrest Monday night.

Oklahoma City police arrested Larry Clayborn, 29, on a felony murder warrant at a traffic stop 8:45 p.m. at SW 29 and S Indiana Avenue.

Donte Deshawn McCarther was found dead Jan. 17 near a breezeway at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of N Council Road. McCarther died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Three other men have been arrested in connection with his death — Alfonzo Dwight Hamilton, 36; Lawrence W. Bartlett, 27; and Brandon Dawson, 20.

Police are searching for a fifth man believed to be connected to the slaying. A warrant has been issued for Darron Darrel Fair, who also goes by Darron Clayborn. Fair and Larry Clayborn are brothers, police said.
