Police: Man arrested on suspicion of assaulting neighbor

COLLINSVILLE — Collinsville police say they’ve arrested a man who told them he assaulted a neighbor when he was bored.

A local television station reports the 50-year-old man was arrested Saturday afternoon after several people called 911. He was booked in the Tulsa County jail on a complaint of assault with a deadly weapon by a felon. It’s unclear if he has been charged.

The man tells police he was bored with watching television so he went outside. They say the man used a mirror to reflect sunlight into his neighbor’s house.

Police say the men began arguing after the neighbor told the man to stop. They say the man grabbed a tool that looked like an ice pick and chased his neighbor while threatening to stab him.

There were no injuries reported.
