ENID — A 62-year-old Oklahoma man has been charged in the shooting of his son.

A local newspaper reports Wednesday that Huebert DeCastro was charged with felony domestic abuse with a deadly weapon. The charge is punishable by up to life in prison.

Witnesses tell police DeCastro shot his son Saturday after an argument. An officer says DeCastro’s son was bleeding profusely and having trouble breathing when police arrived.

The son was taken to the Oklahoma University medical center. His condition is unknown. It’s unclear how old he is.

DeCastro is being held at the Garfield County Jail on $100,000 bond. Jail records didn’t indicate whether DeCastro has an attorney.
