LAWTON— Lawton police are holding four juveniles in connection to a teenager who was shot in the face.

Lawton Police Capt. Craig Akard says the 19-year-old was shot near his left eye Monday night. He says the shooting stemmed from a botched drug deal.

Police say the teenager was taken to an area hospital. They say he is expected to keep his eye without any major damage.

Akard tells a local television station that the victim never lost consciousness and was able to talk to police at the scene. He says the four minors have each admitted to roles in the shooting. He says a 15-year-old is the alleged shooter.
