Police recover drugs, guns, grenades from Oklahoma City home, safes
Michael V. Calascione, 37, and Vincent Calascione, 40, were arrested after police recovered about two pounds of methamphetamine, 20 firearms and five grenades from an Oklahoma City residence, safes.
Michael Calascione's former girlfriend told police she was in possession of several small safes Calascione gave her to keep for him. The woman said she decided to give the safes to police after learning he had been arrested, the affidavit shows.
Police, after obtaining a search warrant, opened 13 safes and recovered 200 grams of methamphetamine, 1.44 ounces of cocaine and 12.27 ounces of marijuana, the affidavit shows. Police also recovered 14 handguns, 175 rounds of ammunition, five grenades, nine pocket knives, seven sets of digital scales and eight glass pipes used to smoke meth, according to the affidavit.
Calascione has a prior criminal record that includes convictions in three separate cases for drug-related offenses in Oklahoma County, court records show. He was released from prison in October 2009 after spending nearly two years in custody, Corrections Department records show.
