Police have released surveillance camera photos of a man suspected of burglarizing more than a dozen homes since Monday.

The suspect, described by police as a 16-to-19-year-old black male wearing gym shorts and a white T-shirt, is accused of burglarizing at least 12 homes scattered throughout city limits. Seven homes were hit Monday and at least five more Tuesday, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, but police said $500 in coins were stolen while other valuables were left untouched. One of the home burglaries took place while a woman and her young son were inside, police said.

The suspect was driving an older model white Honda sedan with a stripe down the side, police said.

Anyone with information about the suspect or his whereabouts is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 359-4466
