Police are looking for a man accused of stabbing a man in the victim's northwest Oklahoma City home.

The victim — who suffered stab wounds to his back, torso, chin and arms Feb. 5 — drove himself to the emergency room, where police interviewed him before he underwent surgery, according to the police report.

Gerardo Martinez, 59, told police a man approached him at a parking lot near the Union Bus Station and told him, “Hey, we know each other through Monster.” “Monster” is a homeless man Martinez knows, according to the report.

Martinez told police he did not recognize the man, but thought they might have met and invited the man to his house at 1021 NW 31. He said they were in his TV room/bedroom having a conversation when the man picked up an empty beer bottle and hit him over the head with it.

The man then stabbed Martinez with a small pocket knife. Martinez grabbed a shovel and hit the man, who fled, according to the report.

Police released a video of the attacker taken at a convenience store before he went to Martinez's home.
