Police say man told them he shot Midwest City mother while she slept next to her children

Brodric Glover was arrested Wednesday night and brought to the Midwest City Police Department in connection with the Jan. 11 killing of Jessica Lynn Brown, 23, of Midwest City, and her unborn child.

Midwest City Police Chief Brandon Clabes said Glover gave graphic details about his role in the shooting. He told police the victim was in her bed with her children when the shooting occurred. Clabes said it appears all three were asleep.

An autopsy shows she was shot twice in the head and was six months pregnant with a baby girl. Clabes said Fabion Brown is the father of the two children, but it is unknown whether he was the father of the unborn child.

Neighbors discovered the children playing in the street unattended later that day and called police. When officers arrived, the children told police their mother was inside sleeping.

Police went inside the Locust Lane home and found Brown lying in the bedroom with a “large amount of blood around her head,” according to an affidavit.

Clabes said the children remain in the custody of the state Department of Human Services.
