Police searching for van that hit Oklahoma City patrol car

A van hit a police officer's car in southwest Oklahoma City. The van was spotted in the area of Interstate 240 and S Anderson Road Wednesday morning.

11:15 a.m. A police officer was not hurt when a van slammed into his patrol car Wednesday morning as he stood nearby.

The officer had found a stolen van in a driveway at 1337 SW 12 and got out of his patrol car to investigate. Someone was in the driver's seat and started the van, hitting the patrol car while fleeing.

The van is described as a white 2001 Ford. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300.

8:55 a.m. Police are searching for a van that hit a patrol car in southwest Oklahoma City, according to Oklahoma City police radio reports.

The van, a white work van with damage to the driver's side window and windshield was spotted about 8:45 a.m. in the area of Interstate 240 and S Anderson Road.

The van hit the police car at 1337 SW 12, police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said.
