Police seek man who stole cash register in Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City police said a man walked into a business at NE 14 and Lottie Avenue and asked the clerk for an item behind the counter. Surveillance camera footage shows the man grabbing the cash register while the clerk’s back was turned and the man then running out the door.

Oklahoma City police are looking for a man who stole a cash register from a store Thursday morning.

Officers said the man walked into a business at NE 14 and Lottie Avenue and asked the clerk for an item behind the counter. Surveillance camera footage shows the man grabbing the cash register while the clerk’s back was turned and running out the door.

The footage shows the man tripping and falling on his way out the door, dropping the register. He stands up, grabs part of the register and runs away.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 235-7300.
