— Police are looking for a man in connection with the killing of another man Friday.

Kelvin D. Anderson, 37, was found dead of a gunshot wound about 3 a.m. Friday. He was lying on the porch of a duplex in the 100 block of S Oak Street after gunfire was reported in the area, police spokeswoman Sherry Bowers said.

Detectives want to talk to Terome Levi Porter, 31, of Ponca City, who is an acquaintance of Anderson, Bowers said.

Porter is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 156 pounds.

Porter was charged in Kay County District Court in 2008 with assault and battery with a deadly weapon. He is awaiting a jury trial on the charge, according to court records on Oklahoma Supreme Court Network's website. Bowers said that case is unrelated to the Friday homicide.

Anyone with information about Porter's whereabouts can call Ponca City police at (580) 762-5100. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
