Portland City Council goes 'Richard Sherman' on The Oregonian

In a letter on portlandoregon.gov, Portland City Commissioner Steve Novick fired back at The Oregonian newspaper with what he calls "trash-talk" inspired by Seattle's new lightning rod/hubris-filled folk hero Richard Sherman.



Novick's letter responds to what he says has been The Oregonian's "past couple of weeks trash-talking the city council."

"They've repeatedly crossed the line between criticism and contempt," Novick said.

Well, Novick hit back hard, Sherman style on Tuesday.
