Post-Springer era begins tonight

by Tim Willert Published: September 3, 2013

Former state commerce secretary Dave Lopez will make his debut as interim superintendent of Oklahoma City Public Schools at tonight’s regularly scheduled board meeting.

Lopez  succeeds Karl Springer, whose last day as superintendent was Friday. Lopez is expected to give board members an update on district enrollment numbers.

The meeting is at 5:30 p.m. in the district’s administration building auditorium, 900 N. Klein Ave. I will be tweeting from the meeting. Follow me at @timwillert1
