PostRock reunion at SandRidge

A reunion of sorts is underway at SandRidge Energy Inc.

CEO James Bennett spent some time on the board of Oklahoma City-based oil and natural gas producer PostRock Energy Corp., beginning in 2010.

David Lawler, SandRidge's chief operations officer, was PostRock's CEO at the time, having guided the company through the turmoil that followed criminal charges against two former executives when it was known as Quest Resources Corp.

Lawler moved to SandRidge in July 2011, about six months after Bennett arrived as chief financial officer, along with several reservoir engineers.

“We took the opportunity to pick some of the best folks over there,” Bennett said.

They will be joined next month by Eddie LeBlanc, who was PostRock's chief financial officer from 2009 to 2010. He will fill the same role at SandRidge.

Bennett said he did not overlap with LeBlanc during his time on PostRock's board, but he was aware of the industry veteran's role in helping the company through its post-Quest problems.

“He's actually the final addition to the senior leadership team,” Bennett said.

LeBlanc, who is chief financial officer at Pennsylvania-based East Resources Inc., will start at SandRidge on July 8.
