Poteau man dies in motorcycle accident near Talihina
TALIHINA — A Poteau man died this evening when his motorcycle struck a guardrail about five miles east of Talihina in Le Flore County , the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Allen Dodd , 48, was riding north on U.S. 271 about 6:15 p.m. He was thrown about 100 feet when his motorcycle struck the guardrail, troopers said.
Dodd died at the scene.
He was not wearing a helmet, troopers said....
