Poverty rates varied greatly among Oklahoma counties in 2010

WASHINGTON — Poverty rates jumped in some of the poorest and richest counties in Oklahoma in 2010, according to U.S. Census Bureau figures released Tuesday that show Okfuskee County had the highest rate last year, with 27 percent of its residents in poverty.

Canadian County 's rate was still the lowest, though it rose from 7.6 percent in 2009 to 9.3 in 2010.
