Mike Sherman 11:24 a.m. Great question, Patrick. I wondered the same thing. It's bogus. Baker Mayfield can't play because Texas Tech says he can't but you're telling me that Missouri kicks DGB off the team and the NCAA is going to let him play right away? The run-off rule has -- to quote Oh Brother Where Art Thou -- R-U-N-N-O-F-T

Patrick 11:25 a.m. I may have missed something, but is Cody going to be the OSU football beat writer this year?

Mike Sherman 11:26 a.m. Cody Stavenhagen is an OSU student and The Oklahoman Sports summer intern extraordinare. He goes back to school in the fall but will still be working for us as an intern. We're hiring another beat writer, but Cody has done an excellent job. Love him.

tom 11:26 a.m. How does the download traffic for the ThunderBuddies podcast compare with story clicks? I'm curious how your readers are choosing to consume Thunder coverage...

Mike Sherman 11:27 a.m. Tom: You guys keep asking great questions that I have to seek help on. Let me see what I can find. I'll say this: I enjoy listening to that podcast and participating in it when asked.

Mike Sherman 11:27 a.m. About rain and the U.S. Senior Open. Our reporters are going to post something on this soon. Thanks for the question.

guest 11:29 a.m. Will Green-Beckham be eligible for this fall?

Mike Sherman 11:30 a.m. He could be under the so-called run-off rule. Nothing against OU or DGB but this case cannot be what the NCAA thought of when it made this rule and I think it's bogus if a guy who got kicked off the team for bad acts can be eligible immediately elsewhere while guys who want to transfer and did nothing wrong have to sit. Bogus

Patrick 11:30 a.m. Once the free-agent dust settles, where do you see LeBron, 'Melo, Bosh, and Pau Gasol landing and what free-agents and/or trades do you see happening with the Thunder, if any?

Mike Sherman 11:32 a.m. Carmelo Anthony stays with the Knicks. Chris Bosh to Houston. Pau Gasol to New York. And LeBron James.... to Cleveland. Once all the dust settles and all the fat boys have spent their money, it will be Presti's turn to swoop in and grab some bargains. I have no idea what they'll be, but expect one or two.

Guest 11:32 a.m. No current 3 point shooting specialist on Thunder. Do they get one or go without?

Mike Sherman 11:33 a.m. They'll get one, but I'm not sure whether they'll meet anyone's definition of "specialist"

Guest 11:33 a.m. What's with the Akron Beacon-Journal? They are the USC of NBA beat guys.

Mike Sherman 11:35 a.m. Terry Pluto

harry man 11:35 a.m. hello mr. sherman. where have you been. I have been in hiding

Mike Sherman 11:36 a.m. Nope. Just at the APSE Conference and then on vacation visiting family in Maryland, going to Ocean City for a couple days and catching and Orioles games. All sandwiched between two days of 12-hour drives on each end. Fun

William 11:36 a.m. Do you hear anything about whether they think Orlando Brown or Vontre McQuinne will be joining OU football team in August? Also, who are some of the younger OU football players making noise in the off-season? Thanks

Mike Sherman 11:37 a.m. I've been out of town and know about as much as you do on Brown and McQuinne. Some young receivers better be making noise if DGB doesn't get in on the bogus run-off rule

harry man 11:37 a.m. give me your top 3 US senior players in oak tree

Mike Sherman 11:38 a.m. My favorites: Lehman, Funk, Langer

Tommy 11:38 a.m. Any idea how fundraising is coming along for OU's stadium expansion?

Mike Sherman 11:38 a.m. I'd expect slowly.

Patrick 11:38 a.m. With some of the crazy money that free agents with far less talent are getting in the NBA this year, do you think that makes it more likely that Reggie Jackson will wait and test the (restricted) free-agent waters next summer?

Mike Sherman 11:39 a.m. The Gordon Hayward max offer from New Orleans is what Thunder fans should fear. If Hayward gets max money what will Reggie command? Maybe not max, but close. It's going to be tough to keep him and getting tougher.

Guest 11:40 a.m. Seems like media interest in the US Senior Open vs. Actual interest is pretty out of whack. old dudes playing golf, man....

Mike Sherman 11:41 a.m. It's summer. And it's a major sporting event. What's competing with it right now? It's not like we're passing on Thunder coverage to cover the U.S. Senior Open.

Patrick 11:41 a.m. I know Devon Thomas is not working out/practicing with the OSU football team, but what do you think the hold-up is on formally cutting him loose?

Mike Sherman 11:41 a.m. I've been wondering the same thing. I have no idea.

Michael Oliwakandi 11:41 a.m. Some cities don't attract big name free agents- OKC has never signed there first choice free agent. What needs to change for that to happen?

Mike Sherman 11:42 a.m. Renaming Lake Hefner the Hefner Ocean.

My Name Goes Here 11:42 a.m. I really like the two OU beat writers. They do a good job of reporting everything OU and they remind me of Batman and Robin.

Mike Sherman 11:43 a.m. They're great. I love them. And I love to tease them.
Remind me more of this duo than Batman and Robin. http://nicktoons.nick.com/s...

Michael Oliwakandi 11:43 a.m. Have any Thunder players ever blogged for newsOK.com about their season? I'd love to hear McGary's take on being a rookie, or even better Heustis' thoughts on playing in Tulsa.

Mike Sherman 11:43 a.m. Great idea. Let's do it. I'll get Anthony on the case.

Mike Sherman 11:44 a.m. Great questions. Suggestions. Ideas. Loved the conversation. Have a great Wednesday
