Southeastern State, Central Oklahoma among teams that are surging.

The season is winding down — just as a few state college football teams find a pulse: Southeastern State, Central Oklahoma, Northeastern State and Northwestern State. ... Langston pulls a stunner and loses by 18 points to McMurry, a Texas club that struggled to beat skidders such as Panhandle State and Southern Nazarene. ... Southern Nazarene quarterbacks Dylan Terry and Taylor Chasteen combined for 49 yards passing in a tight loss at Southwestern State. ... Ever since a 70-3 loss to the powerful Purple Bears of Central Arkansas, Bacone has won six consecutive games. Keep in mind that none of the six has a winning record. ... Go watch Central Oklahoma running back Joshua Birmingham at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wantland Stadium in Edmond. ... Congrats to Northeastern A&M.
