In my OKC Central column today, I spoke about the ongoing downtown housing boom, and what’s next. I must again refer to how much has already been built in the past decade, what’s on the drawing boards, and remind everyone that for all practical purposes, Deep Deuce is close to being downtown’s first fully developed, mixed use neighborhood.
Consider that the area is home to a grocery, salon, pizza restaurant, neighborhood pub, whiskey and cigar lounge, wine store, soul food restaurant, art gallery, garage, car detailing shop, and soon, some doctor’s offices, a coffee shop and more restaurants.
Let’s take one more look at old and more recent aerial photos of Deep Deuce. The first photo, found on Bing, was taken circa 2003 and shows Deep Deuce soon after the Deep Deuce Apartments were opened, but before any of the for-sale condominiums were built in the mid-2000s. The second photo was taken this past year (click to expand image view):
So what’s coming next?
