Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater said a state law change now allows a first-degree murder charge to be filed over the loss of an unborn child "anywhere from conception to birth.”

"We no longer have to prove, for the purposes of homicide, that the unborn child would be viable outside of the womb,” the prosecutor said.
