A couple of highly regarded prospects on The Oklahoman’s Super 30 recruit rankings picked up big college offers on Tuesday.

Midwest City defensive back Will Sunderland, 6-foot-3, 195 pounds, added Ohio State to his growing list of offers that already includes Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Tulsa. Sunderland, No. 4 on the Super 30, has been a star on the offseason circuit of camps and combines, being named the top defensive back at a Rivals camp in Dallas last month.

Ringling offensive lineman Riley Daniel, No. 12 on the Super 30, received an offer from Tulsa on Tuesday during a visit to the campus. The 6-foot-6, 310-pound Daniel also has a North Texas offer.

RAFFLE TO BENEFIT KUFAHL FAMILY

A raffle for a Smart Shelters storm shelter has been formed with all proceeds going to help Jenni Kufahl and her family while they receive treatment for her cancer.

Kufahl, 39, is battling Stage IV cancer in her appendix and is currently receiving treatment at Envita in Scottsdale, Ariz., after recently receiving a bleak prognosis. The treatment, though, is not covered by the family’s insurance.

The raffle can be found at https://rafflecreator.com/pages/1859/storm-shelter-raffle. Tickets are $10 apiece and there is no limit.

The goal is to raise $20,000 and the drawing for the storm shelter will take place the first weekend of May.
