In “Religious liberty and the president” (Commentary, Feb. 11), about President Obama’s speech at the recent National Prayer Breakfast, Kathleen Parker wrote about Obama’s lamentations about eroding religious liberty around the world while he missed the irony of his administration's efforts to coerce Hobby Lobby and other religious groups in the U.S. to abandon their beliefs. Had Parker read George Will’s “The perils of magic words and numbers” (Commentary, Feb. 9), she’d have Obama and Democrats in general explained. They're impervious to irony! They ignore the fact that their proposals and programs and projects aren't working and are making situations worse and go blithely on to their next "solution." As Will said, the scary part is that Obama may not be cynical but that he’s sincere!
