From Wire Reports Published: August 15, 2014

— Preston Tucker’s two-run home run was the big blow in the RedHawks’ five-run third inning as Oklahoma City rolled to a 6-2 victory against Fresno on Friday night.

Joe Sclafani had a two-run triple in the third, and Tucker drove in another run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning to pad the RedHawks’ lead.

RedHawks starter Asher Wojciechowski (3-4) allowed three hits and two unearned runs in seven innings of work. He struck out seven. Fresno starter Chris Heston (10-8) took the loss.

Also on Friday, the Houston Astros recalled left-hander Kevin Chapman from Triple-A and sent outfielder L.J. Hoes to the RedHawks. Hoes hit .175 in 52 games with Houston.

Oklahoma City took three of four from the Grizzlies, and now moves on to Sacramento for a four-game series that begins at 9:05 p.m. Saturday. Right-hander Alex White (2-5, 6.70 ERA) will start for the RedHawks, opposed by Sacramento’s Arnold Leon (10-6, 5.39).
